For 7 years, Spudnik Press has grown to meet the needs of our city’s artists–over 250 annually through ever-expanding studio resources, art book publishing, and public exhibitions and residency programs in printmaking and book arts. This year, our public programs and events have grown to welcome over 2,500 visitors through our doors. To continue this important work, we hope to raise an unprecedented $10,000 to support our expanding infrastructure.
The silent auction is the highlight of the benefit. Each winning bid is truly an investment, not only in Spudnik Press, but in the work of renowned artists. This is the only auction in Chicago to feature studio sketches, visual brainstorms, artist proofs, drafts, studies, notes, and ephemera. Artwork comes framed and bidding starts at $35 through $55.
General Admission includes one complimentary beverage and popcorn. Silent Auction ends at 9pm, to be followed by dancing with DJ Hummingbird and merriment.
The Preview Event is includes an open bar, hors d’oeuvres, live jazz, and a small gift, printed live with our Vandercook letterpress. We will be joined by Guest Curators and featured artists.
Purchase tickets before Friday September 26 for a chance to win one of ten gift cards to Blick Art Materials!
